An overwhelming 100 guests attended Leonard Drake's Skin Health Workshop at the Amara Hotel on Saturday, 5 March 2005. The afternoon started with gifts for early birds as they breezed in to an ambience of light jazz music and white satin-covered seats. The ladies were greeted by ex-radio personality Simon Lim who played emcee.

The audience were informed of the dangers of certain chemicals and lasers which could be damaging to the skin. Instead natural and basic skincare as well as beauty secrets were revealed. A thorough demonstration on the Professional Brightening Treatment formed part of the programme, and the ladies witnessed the dramatic difference in the brightening and clarity of the skin tone of our 'live' model. Ms Ludenau also responded to many questions from the enthusiastic audience.

With attractive door gifts, a lucky draw, and extremely special promotions available, the ladies soaked up the amiable atmosphere and got acquainted with the always personable Leonard Drake educators and customer associates who were ready to answer their queries. Some ladies even experienced Skin Scanning to analyze and pre-empt skin areas that could develop into pigmented spots.

The session ended as the ladies were greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and tea, plus a spread of desserts (including apple crumble, mini fruit tarts and éclair) were made available as they engaged in pleasant conversations for the rest of the afternoon.
