Thurs 12 Oct 2006 - The male staff of National Computer Systems (NCS) learned about slowing down premature ageing with the lunch time workshop aptly titled "Men's Anti-Ageing". Held at the auditorium of NCS Hub, the guys learned how facials are a necessary part of grooming & skincare and that men need to look good too in the 21st Century for career, social interaction or self-confidence. They also found out that the majority of Leonard Drake male clientele are everyday business executives who understand that facials are just as important as regular dental check-ups and treatments.

The workshop commenced with a brief insight to Intrinsic Ageing (genetic ageing) and Extrinsic Ageing (caused by environmental factors), and the men learned how the effects of ageing could be minimized. Through a slide presentation, the guys discovered how the natural ageing process could result in loss of collagen, uneven skin tone, and skin fibers thickening and stiffening - which is also the result of slower cell renewal.

Six causes of premature ageing were identified, as were eight steps to follow to minimize the ageing process in men's skin. The men also got the opportunity to do a 'hand test' of one of Dermalogica's star products, Daily Microfoliant - a botanical, gentle yet effective exfoliant.
