"Teen CLEAN START Workshop"- Presented by Dermalogica and Leonard Drake Skin Care & Health Spa

Friday 13 Nov 2009 – The first-ever teenage workshop organised by Leonard Drake Skincare & Health Spa was held at Gelare café, #04-23 Orchard Central. Conveniently located opposite Centrepoint Shopping Centre, the venue proved accessible to many teens and parents who arrived by 6pm to hear about the latest range of Dermalogica skincare products designed especially for teens, pre-teens, and young adults.
The event began with a serving of tuna canapé and free flow of iced peach tea for guests (comprising of mostly teens and their moms). Leonard Drake's Marketing Manager, Simon Lim played emcee for the evening and introduced the guests to the history and uniqueness of Leonard Drake Skincare & Health Spa. A short Clean Start video was shown to give the teens a brief insight to the range of products to help bring teen skin into balance.
Dermalogica Educator, Ms Triska Looke, from the International Dermal Institute in Sydney, Australia further explained the philosophy of the Clean Start range. She emphasized on how each product was designed to get teen skin clean, take on issues, and even protect the skin.
Over 40 guests learned about the Clean Start products and its ingredients, which consists of :

- Brighten Up SPF 15
- Smart Mouth Lip Shine
Testimonies of how effective Clean Start products are were shared by teenagers in Singapore via a video clip, including those by Xiang Ting, Mr Teen Earth 2009 (Asian Youth Games Gold Medalist in Wushu) and Kimberly Chia, Miss Teen Singapore United Nations 2008 (a rising teenage star on local Singapore television). Kimberly, along with several other title holders of teenage pageants had turned up at this Clean Start workshop in full support of Leonard Drake Skincare & Health Spa. These other pageant winners comprised of :

A photo session of the teenage pageant title holders and Triska Looke was conducted against a backdrop of Clean Start visuals much to the delight of the audience. This was followed by the opening of the buffet table where guests savoured Gelare's signature waffles (freshly baked!) with ice cream, extremely fine and moist New York cheesecake, brownies, pasta, sausages, and assorted sandwiches.
To their delight, the guests got to enjoy another full-length Clean Start video (filmed in the USA ) and participated in a 'live' quiz segment where Clean Start kits were won.
Leonard Drake's skincare experts readily provided the teens with the opportunity to try the Clean Start products on-the-spot and explained the special promotion. The majority left with their newly purchased Clean Start products and teen facial packages - excited to have a clean start with their skin!
