Saturday 25 Oct 2008 – In collaboration with Singhealth, Leonard Drake Skincare & Health Spa presented a complimentary Averine make-up session for Her World magazine readers. Titled "Creating A Hot Yet Natural Look with Averine Colours! (Fall/Winter)" , the 45-minute session held at NUSS Guild House, Suntec City introduced the women to the professional skin caring make-up line - Averine, and provided an insight to how one can adapt runway looks of the season for the office and everyday.

Leonard Drake's official Averine Make-Up Trainer, Ms Amy Lim interest the audience with colours and make-up looks that are making waves in fashion. The guests listened with enthusiasm as Amy explained how it is extremely important to know how to adapt the right look from fashion pages - so as not shock others with one's make-up disaster, but rather to receive compliments that can stroke the ego.

The ladies observed a 'live' demonstration by Amy of a fashionable yet natural Averine Make-Up look, created by using Averine. Amy emphasized the importance of using cosmetics containing botanical or natural mineral ingredients to avoid skin problems such as acne, pigmentation, milia seeds, stained skin, dry skin, or allergies. Step-by-step, make-up techniques were shared - including tips on using powder, liquid or cream foundations; defining the eyes for single or hidden double eyelids; eyebrow shaping to compliment the eyes and facial features; eye shadow application; contouring the face shape with blusher; and lip liner, lipstick, plus lip gloss for hot lips!

The lucky participant who got her face made-up on the spot by Amy was extremely happy with her new look and readily smiled for the camera! Amy Lim has worked on the faces of many models for fashion editorials spreads, TV commercials, and local and international celebrities.

At the end of the session, the participants who were marvelled by the transformation of the 'live' model made enquiries on the next available Averine Make-Up classes.
